Rapid Response to Reading Intervention (RtI)

The Cost-Effective, Time-Saving RtI Alternative

Rapid Response to Reading Intervention (RRRI) -- Tier ll & Tier lll – is a special, online-only edition of Failure Free Reading’s intensive language-based core reading intervention program that in independent studies has shown to:

  • Drastically reduce inappropriate Special Education placements
  • Reduce the # of Minority students over-represented as mildly mentally retarded and behaviorally/emotionally handicapped
  • Reliably produce significant, sustained reading gains for the lowest-performing students
  • Build the core language skills and confidence necessary engaged learning
  • Immediately boost student and teacher attitudes

Unlike more time-consuming and costly interventions, the RRRI Tier ll diagnostic/prescriptive and unique instructional method provides the data and curriculum-based assessment feedback necessary to determine the intervention’s appropriateness for each student -- after only 12 hours of instruction! Tier lll is the year-long district-level version of the intervention that students can access 24/7 from home or school.

Anne Arundel County, MD evaluated 53 “hardest to reach” (grades 1-5) students. In just 27.9 mean hours of instruction, significant gains were made on W-J Letter/Word Recogni tion, Word Attack and Passage Comprehension. For students below the 10th & 20th percentile, growth was even greater. Learn more
